About
Outline
Once a year the Technical University of Munich (TUM) selects 50 young scientists from all over the world and invites them to the Research Opportunities Week (ROW) in Munich. During this week, the participants have the opportunity to visit different research facilities at TUM, to meet Professors of their disciplines, to inform themselves about possible postdoc funding opportunities in Germany and to create a scientific network.
After the ROW, participants get the exclusive chance to apply for the attractive TUM University Foundation Fellowship (TUFF) to conduct a research project for a year. In addition, fellows receive support from the TUM Talent Factory to apply for further funding offered by national and international programs.
What is funded
The Postdoc Mobility Travel Grant covers accommodation and travel expenses for the event for 50 postdocs.
Eligibility
Researchers may apply for the Research Opportunities Week if they are
applying from a foreign university (Germans can apply as long as if they are currently working abroad and did not do their PhD at TUM)
PhD students in their final year or postdocs who obtained their PhD no longer than 3 years ago (i.e. after April 2016).
Interested researchers can submit their application via the portal between Sept. 1, 2018 and Oct. 31, 2018. Information about the required documents and the portal link can be found on the website.
If you have any questions, contact us via postdoc-application@tum.de.
