Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Geography.
This position will support the EPA funded project ‘Greening the City’, which started on March 1, 2019 and will run until February 28th, 2021. The proposed research examines the current and potential green infrastructure of Dublin city centre by completing a detailed mapping of existing greenspaces and engaging with local communities to co-create a greening strategy. The role of the postdoctoral researcher will work with diverse inner city neighbourhoods and decision makers, support the academic researchers, and contribute to publications and other forms of dissemination.
This is an academic research role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.
The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.
Fixed Salary: €37,223
